A New Song, made just for you

—:)
so after wondering for years what exactly the ableton live software was like i finally got bored enough and decided to give it a shot. it strikes me as more of a dj tool compared to logic. so i figured if i was going to mix anything i might as well do two of the most commonly used songs ever lol so here yeah go my first try at ableton live ft starry eyes-ellie gouiding, and the infamous scary monters, nice sprites -skrillex.
repeat.
Well, 2011 was an unimaginable year for me.
after my first full year of touring complete, its hard to even describe half of the amazing things i’ve seen, learned, or felt throughout the entire experience. But now here i am, on the last day of the year reflecting back upon it all. The people i’ve met. The new places that i never honestly thought i would see. It was a everything you would imagine tour being and more. but what would a new years eve be without a top ten list. well here, these are some of the favorite things/memories i took from this year.
10. Dr. Bronner’s Soap

hands down this is the most amazing soap you could ever use. i never really would imagine myself promoting my own opinion as to which soap i prefer. But this definitely has to make my list. this was one of the many new things my boss brought to my eyes. the whole tour i tried to make sense of the writing on the label, but it wasn’t till i was back home did i stumble upon the magic soap box documentary on netflix. now i understand the rambling.
9. Thai food

my god, this should be higher up on the list but whatever. i never thought tour would be me indulging in gluttony the entire time. it was wonderful, we ate like kings to say the least. and once again i have to thank my boss for insisting on healthy eating, and experiencing other cultures. but chicken pad thai is definitely one thing i am thankful i am glad i took out of it all oh mmmm and
8. Occupy L.A.

towards the end of the rockstar uproar tour we had a few days off. this happen to be one of my first real chances to just go explore Las Angeles so i took off with j my camera. i had no idea i had stumbled upon the occupy L.A. rally. at first i thought this part of the city was ran over by homeless people. soon someone informed me of the protest and i just decided to take pictures and move on and explore the rest of the city. it ended up being one interesting day. so much so that its too much for here
7. Denver

We took a week off of tour to do a few other things, and that happen to send me straight to denver colorado. i had nothing to do for the majority of the week so i took off straight to the mountains. this too was one hell of a day. not only did i accidentally take the longest hardest trail to the top making the hike 14 miles, but once i finally got back down; the taxi service said they couldn’t pick me up from state parks so i had to walk another 5 to get out of the park and to a place for the taxi to pick me up. long story short i waited forever, my phone died, and the taxi never showed up. so i had to walk another 7 miles or so into the town where i could call yet another taxi. one never showed and this one dude ended up giving me a ride home once he found out i was on tour with avenged sevenfold. lol but besides the epic walk i took, i loved denver its beauty is inspiring. i have decided i am moving there later in 2012. here’s to that.
6. the secret

my boss listened to this audio cd over and over i could help but to take most of it it. and now i have found an astonishing helpful new perspective, that is taking me to new heights
5. day two
we dont talk about day two unless you were involved in the secret day two. but it still had to make the list. it was an insanely awesome night, one which i hope to never relive. long live Virginia Beach and the Atlantic ocean. ;)
4. Hurricane Irene

first show of the uproar tour was in new jersey one day before the hurricane hit, needless to say we didnt make it very far before it caught up to us. so my friends and i got stranded in scranton, pa. and thanks to everyone evacuating every hotel was sold out. so we ended up on the top of a mountain at some creepy little hotel for a few days. it was a crazy experience going through a hurricane though, the aftermath was astonishing as the tour continued along the east coast.
3. new york

i woke up in new york city one morning, that has to be one of the best parts about the year, traveling going every and anywhere.
2. a new sound track to play
6.) Hell or Highwater- we all wanna go home
5.) Manchester Orchestra- golden ticket
4.) Lydia- dragging your feet in the mud
3.) Chiddy Bang- Bad Day
2.) Local Natives - who know, who cares
1.) Flux Pavilion & Dr. P remix - Louder
over, and over, and over again
1. the people i met
each and everyone of you, i honestly never thought i could say i have friends in every state. but now i can and i am blessed for that. this has to be one of the biggest parts of my year. i have met some of the most extraordinary people through these travels and i cant wait to see them all again next year
